Beautiful natural looking results using Juvederm Ultra Smile
Why the need for lip fillers?
When deciding to have lip fillers one of the many questions you may have is why have my lips thinned over time? As we age our lips tend to become drier and lose volume which brings about a thinner appearance and loss of definition. The skin on your lips is regularly moisturised from within by hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar. However as we age the skin naturally loses hyaluronic acid. The natural loss of hyaluronic acid over time leads to the appearance of wrinkles and the lack of fullness in our lips. As our lips become slimmer, they lose volume and lack definition. We can develop vertical lines around the mouth, which can form at the corners going down to the chin or develop a droop to the corners of the mouth which can give lips a sad appearance. Juvederm Ultra Smile is a hyaluronic acid lip filler for lips to help:-
- Enhance lip volume and create a symmetrical and balanced appearance.
- Redefine the outline of your lips including the cupid’s bow.
- Improve vertical lip lines (bleeding lipstick lines).
- Reduce the lines at the corner of the mouth.
A study showed that 98% of people who had Juvéderm® VOLBELLA® with Lidocaine reported that their lip appearance goals had been achieved; with results lasting up to 12 months.
About the Lip Filler Enhancement
The lips are numbed using anaesthetic cream prior to treatment and the product contains Lidocaine an anaesthetic which makes the treatment experience more comfortable. You can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness and possible bruising following this treatment which is temporary and generally disappears after a few days. It is best to give 2- 3 weeks before any occasion when having treatment. The results normally will last from 6 months to a year depending on the individual
